Gergeti Trinity Church (Tsminda Sameba) is a 14th-century Georgian Orthodox church perched at an elevation of 2,170 meters on a hilltop near the village of Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) with the towering 5,047-meter Mount Kazbek as its backdrop. The church has served as a refuge for sacred relics during times of invasion, including the cross of St. Nino.
